Analytics

Analytics shows how your events are performing across everything you have access to, rather than one event at a time. Use it to compare periods, see how many of the guests you add actually turn up and understand who is bringing them.

The page covers check-in rates, how guest list additions and check-ins develop over time, when guests arrive and where invitation signups come from. For figures from one event, see View event analytics.

Note

Analytics includes guest data you have the View guests permission for and guests you added yourself. Learn more about Permissions.

Steps to view analytics

  1. Go to Analytics (main menu)
  2. Select the period at the top left: a preset such as Today, Last 30 days or All time, or your own From and To dates
  3. Select Filters to limit the figures to specific venues or to guests added by specific users

To remove the filters, select Filters > Reset.

Understand the period

The selected period applies to all charts on the page. Charts about guest list additions, invitation signups, estimated gender and check-in rate use when guests were added. Check-in charts use when guests were checked in.

The chart interval is selected automatically according to the length of the period. Guest check-ins by hour of day and Guest list additions by day of week sum up the whole period instead, to show when guests arrive and when they get added.

Understand guests, names and breakdowns

Charts with selectors next to their title can count either guests or names. John Smith +2 counts as three guests and one name.

Use the other selector to break the chart down by the available category, such as venue, who added the guests, whether their tickets were sold or whether they came through an invitation. The choices depend on the chart and whether you are counting guests or names.

Understand estimated data

Gender is estimated from each guest's name. Names without a reliable estimate remain Undetermined. To protect privacy, gender is not shown for small groups, such as a bar with few names, so those names also remain Undetermined. The chart is shown only when Gender estimation is enabled. To change Gender estimation, you need the Admin permission on the account. Learn more about Permissions.

Steps to disable gender estimation

  1. Go to Settings (main menu) > Account > Permissions
  2. Select Everyone to disable it for the whole account, or a user to disable it for that user only
  3. Set Gender estimation to Disabled
  4. Select Save

Signup country and city are estimated from the signup IP address. Signups without a detected location and groups that are too small to show separately are included under Other.

Data freshness

Analytics figures refresh periodically. Below the last chart, Refreshed at shows the time of the latest refresh, and the info button next to it shows the refresh interval.
