Copy an event
Note: To copy an event, you need Admin permission on both the event and venue. Learn more about Permissions.
Copying an event duplicates the event structure (guest lists, custom fields, permissions) into a new event without copying guest data. This is useful when you want to reuse an event setup without using templates.
Steps to copy an event
- Go to Events (main menu) > your event > Settings > Copy
- Fill in the event details:
- Name (optional) - automatically generated if not provided
- Starts (required) - date and time
- Ends (required) - date and time
- Include permissions (checkbox, checked by default) - copy permissions from the original event
- Select Copy
The system will redirect you to your new event.
The copied event uses the same venue as the original event.
Alternative: Using templates
For recurring events with the same structure, consider using Event templates instead. Templates automatically keep all events updated when you modify the template structure.
