Once an event has loaded on your device, you can keep searching and checking in guests without an internet connection. Open the event while you are still online and wait for the counter in the event header to appear, which means the event is fully loaded. Offline check-ins are stored on the device and sent to the server as soon as the connection is back.
While you are inside the event, you can search for guests and check them in. Scanning QR codes works too, so tickets, passes and guest confirmations can be checked in without a connection (see Search and check in guests at an event).
WarningWhile offline, a device only knows about the check-ins made on it, so the same ticket can be checked in on two offline devices. Once they sync, the ticket counts as checked in once.
A red offline icon appears in the event header when the connection is lost. Select it to see the message "You are currently in offline mode. Check-ins are still working and will sync once your connection is restored."
Leaving the event is blocked while you are offline, and the message "Unable to connect. Please check your internet connection" appears. Everything else, such as other events, adding guests or settings, needs a connection.
When the connection returns, the open event sends its stored check-ins right away.
WarningCheck-ins stored for events that are not open are sent only while you are logged in and the app is open. Keep the app open until the counters are up to date.
Only the user who made a check-in can send it. If you log in as a different user on the same device while check-ins from another user are still waiting to be sent, the Unsynced check-ins page opens and lists them. Choose one of the following:
